We have a lot to this celebrate this week with graduations, Juneteenth Holiday, Father’s Day, Summer Solstice, and a Super Full Moon next week. As well as the excitement energy of health and freedom being restored and the world opening up again. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is the element of fire, governing the heart and small intestine meridians, the emotions of joy or anxiety, the color red, and the bitter flavor. This growth energy needs to stay balanced in order to maintain health and wellbeing, otherwise excess heat creates mania, insomnia, heartburn, and sunstroke. Acupuncture, energy healing, and herbal medicine help the body, mind, and spirit stay in harmony.
On June 10, we will be having a powerful New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini, called the Ring of Fire. This phenomenon occurs when the shadow of the Earth moves into the middle of the Sun. This creates a dynamic energy for new beginnings, a time for following our hearts and embracing the present moment. As we let go of past and future concerns, we can relax, expand our consciousness, and embrace infinite possibilities of joy and wonder. During these times of growth and transformation, we may experience low energy, impatience, or become overwhelmed, confused, and anxious. It is important to slow down and trust our intuition, meditate, and reflect.
